Cost Breakdown for my DIY Landscaping! Details in description! #garden #landscape #diy #gardening

*edit* makeover đź’€

Landscape Edging ($35): I bought this on Amazon – it is a bit flimsy, but since it’s almost completely supported on either side by pavers or topsoil, it works perfectly for what I needed, which is a clean line between the pathway and the flowerbed. LMK if you want the link!

Flagstone ($270): this is mountain flagstone from Costco, but I bought them on Facebook marketplace for $100 cheaper than Costco sells them. The seller had only used like 4 pavers & didn’t need the rest – always check marketplace!! I did take some pavers from our patio that I didn’t need for this approximately 100ish sf pathway, but since we already paid for those girl math says they’re free so 🤣

Topsoil ($85): a yard of bulk topsoil for $50, once I ran out, I spent $35 on bagged topsoil. Buy in bulk !

Plants ($600 ish): This was hard to estimate because a lot of the time, I was buying plants for other parts of the house too, but it was around $600. I definitely busted the budget on this one.. lol worth it 🤠 a way to save $$$ here would have been to buy what they call nursery plants (the same plant just smaller and cheaper). If you want a list of the plants, I made a reel on that – about 10 posts back!

Mulch ($28): less than $4 a bag at @homedepot so no need to buy in bulk when it’s that cheap!

Ground Cover ($90): I separated this out from the plants because this is just what I spent on the ground cover I put in the pathway. I used blue star creeper and creeping thyme!

Total cost: approximately $1,108

The fence was “free” because it was all leftover material from the new fence we built on the other side of our yard 🙂

I didn’t include the shed in here cause it was pretty minimal – the cedar trim, paint and the new light altogether cost under $100 🫶🏼
